Three symptoms you can feel right now

Four culprits that keep your house clammy
Each one blocks the system from running long enough, or moving enough air, to pull moisture out. The shorthand: fix airflow, fix run-time, fix the stat — and the comfort follows.
A system that’s too big for the house reaches setpoint in 5–8 minutes and shuts off. The coil barely gets cold enough to wring moisture out — you get cool, clammy air instead of cool, dry air.
Why it matters: Comfort rule of thumb: a properly sized Metairie AC runs 12–18 minutes per cycle. Anything shorter and the house never gets a chance to dehumidify.
A clogged filter chokes the airflow across the evaporator coil. With less air over the coil, the coil runs colder, the drain pan overflows, and the blower pushes damp air into the room.
